Music can “unlock” everyone’s heart. If you are looking for inspiration, meaning or more positivity around – join us on March 31st. 8 p.m. in the virtual concert “Waiting for Easter”. The meditative, light-enriched program will be performed by the uniquely sounding orchestra of state ensemble “Lietuva” and soloists Dovilė Kazonaitė (soprano), Osvaldas Petraška (tenor), Ilona Pliavgo (soprano), Arvydas Jankus (hornpipe), Lijana Venslovaitė and Birutė Giraitytė (kankles).
The concert will feature works of world-renowned composers Ē. Ešenvalds, R. Strauss, G. Faure, B. Britten and others, as well as Lithuanian composers D. Zakaras and G. Svilainis. This time everyone will be united by the sacred language of music – the program “Waiting for Easter” is specially adapted for the Lenten period (liet. Gavėnia). Listeners will also hear the ever-enchanting “Ave Maria”.
The ensemble “Lietuva” invites everyone to wait for St. Easter together, also reminds that Lent is a time of hope, self-reflection and spiritual concentration.
Orchestra conductor and head – Egidijus Kaveckas. Art director – Giedrius Svilainis.
