We are Lithuania!

Highly professional, stylized and authentic Lithuanian folk art – songs, dancing, instrumental music, unique national instruments, colourful costumes and true spirit of Lithuania!

LIETUVA is the one and only professional ensemble of dancers, folk instrument orchestra and choir groups in the Baltic States. Through our performances we seek not only to create lasting cultural value and take educational part in society, but also to spread positive emotions for our audience. Soon the Ensemble will celebrate 80 years anniversary of representing the best of Lithuanian cultural heritage – traditional music, expressive folk dances and authentic national costumes.

Even though LIETUVA is perfectly capable of presenting stylized national art, the spectrum of events brings shivers to the spine. It ranges from classical music with folk instruments, authentic Lithuanian folk songs, to an exciting and festive programme involving contemporary music.

Combining different genres allows to create not only high-level but original art as well. In addition, we work on joint projects with the Lithuanian Armed Forces Orchestra, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, rock, folklore, singing poetry and popular music artists.

One of the most breathtaking performances – mystery “Gods and Humans“, where traditions of the Baltic States, archaic folk songs, a hum of clairvoyant drumming and modern dance elements intertwine. Moreover, there is a classical music concert with folk instruments “Symphony of Generations” that plays J. S. Bach or W. A. Mozart masterpieces. The most popular and time-tested program is “Best Lithuanian Folk” – a classic ensemble program which contains the most impressive ensemble dances, Lithuanian multipart songs, witty humorous chants and virtuoso instrumental compositions.

Truly unique in entire Baltic countries company had been established in November 1940 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Huge experience in representing our country and its culture is something what we really are proud of. Throughout history, the Ensemble has staged more than 50 original concert programs, played more than 1000 works by Lithuanian composers and performed more than 9000 concerts.

Through its long creative path, the Ensemble won numerous international awards and with great success performed in almost all Europe, also in USA, Canada, India, Japan, Philippines, Malaysia, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Cuba and many other countries.

We are Lithuania! – that‘s our motto, spiced with a new creative breakthrough. Ensemble LIETUVA consisting of you, me and all of us together. True, authentic, with a long history of its own as an ensemble, genuine and growing together.

Get ready to discover all beauty of Lithuania together with State Song and Dance Ensemble LIETUVA!
