Contemporary music concert “Aistmarės” is an innovative program of the orchestra of state ensemble “Lietuva”. From majestic baroque, romantic nature views to archaic sounds, it reveals the wide and colorful opportunities of national instruments. During the concert, solo parts will be performed by one of the best Lithuanian kanklininke doc. dr. Aistė Bružaitė and the famous oboist prof. dr. Robertas Beinaris.

The concert of modern academic music will feature works by well-known Lithuanian composers Osvaldas Balakauskas, Algirdas Martinaitis, Giedrius Svilainis and Vaida Striaupaitė-Beinarienė, arranged for national instruments. Some works will surprise you with modern-sounding folklore, contractual motifs and variations. Elsewhere we will hear contrasting, modern serial or modal music techniques, and still other works will return archaic baltic symbols reminding of our identity and pagan roots.
