How does the past inspire contemporary human? The new program “Ludi Fortunae” performed by the state ensemble “Lietuva“ is an innovative look at sacred music and today’s discoveries. The concert will feature works by three female composers – Zita Bružaitė, Jurgita Mieželytė and Raminta Šerkšnytė, inspired by the Middle Ages and the majestic Baroque. The colors of sacred music and the beauty of interpretation will be revealed by the choir of the state ensemble “Lietuva” and the orchestra of national instruments, conducted by conductor dr. Egidijus Kaveckas.
The program prepares a special surprise for the audience. For the first time, Z. Bružaitė’s new work “Ludi Fortunae”, which means games of destiny, will be played in public.
The contemporary Lithuanian women’s composers’ program “Ludi Fortunae” was created and developed in cooperation with the Lithuanian Composers’ Union.
